Real Life Stories

Wow! Hello! It has been a while. I've basically spent two weeks in my hometown of Richmond, Kentucky. I haven't been getting a lot of hours at work because it is the slow season, so I thought that it would be the perfect opportunity to take some time off and go home and see my family. I didn't get to see everyone that I wanted to see, but I did see most of my family; which was a plus. I spent the whole week relaxing. I spent a lot of time with my darling little puppy dogs. I missed their faces so much! I also spent a lot of time with my BFF aka momma.

We spent much of the time cleaning out my closet, selling clothes, and wedding planning (for her, not I) Haha! It's crazy how much things have changed in just 4 months. I came home not feeling that I was "home" it just dawned on me that California is my new "home." Or as mom calls it, home #2.

There are a lot of changes going on in my family with people growing up and moving on. Everyone in my family always talks about me moving back to Richmond; they don't understand why I got out. Richmond has a way of sucking you back into it's grips. Many people haven't seen a world outside of Richmond, they don't get why I wouldn't want to live in Richmond. I was fortunate enough to have a mom that took me all over the world with her. I've seen a world bigger than Richmond and I now have a wanderlust soul. I can't stay in one city for the rest of my life. My whole adult life has been a spur of the moment kind of thing, and I don't see that stopping anytime soon. I went to Europe on a whim, I took a job and moved to New York City on a whim, I took a chance and moved to California on a whim. Who knows what else is waiting for me in the future.
